Getting the Lake Ready

Since we have received our assignments, we have been meeting with our assigned group of missionaries, our Team Leaders are Elder and Siter Terry.  They are wonderful. The other missionaries we will be on the Lake with are Elders and Sisters Callings, Leathems, Heatons, Glass, Krey, Taylor, Way, & us.
There is so much to do, to get the Lake ready and we have had snow, a lot of it, almost every day, it has made it so we could not get all the stuff done, and we were all starting to panic a little, we have a youth conference group coming in 1 1/2 weeks.
So when we said our prayers, we ask Heavenly Father to please temper the elements, so we could get the lake ready for the youth and families that will start coming. Yesterday, we had sunshine for the first time all week, we only had it for about 4 hours in the afternoon, but it was enough to get most of the canoes and paddle boats ready to be launched.  Then this morning we had about 4 hours of more sunshine, so we could get the life jackets and oars and everything

else ready. As soon as we were done, it started to snow again.
I know the Lord held back the storms, because we ask Him to. He loves the youth and families that come here and He gave us a window to get a lot of work done.  We still have a lot to do, but I know He will open that window again.
I am so grateful to be one of His Missionaries again, and for the sweet blessing it is to serve at this beautiful camp and on this beautiful lake.
I can't wait for the young women to come.

Meeting our New Trailer Neighbors

I know you all think we are having a great vacation here, and to be honest, it is quite lovely, but we have been busy also, and received some Tender Mercies from the Lord.
First of all, we  finally got the Camp Host here and their trailers parked in their spots.  So we climbed the hill and went to meet our new neighbors.
It was also pretty awesome to get all the Trailer missionaries mived up to the Mountain, what a great spirit they brought with them.

Our Assignment and moving the missionaries to the mountain

We received our assignment, we are going to be working at the Legacy Lake for the summer. We are so excited.  We really wanted to serve at the lake, it is so beautiful there and the wildlife is amazing.  The deer come down and sleep on the sand,  the moose swim in the lake, right along side the boats, we have several beavers that are building damns at the one end, we have a flock of ducks that have their baby's here every summer.  It is amazing and beautiful.
We also started moving the rest of the missionaries to the Mountain.  There are 8 of us that have been assigned cabins, the rest of the 78 missionary couples are in Trailers.  They are been camped down in Heber, waiting for enough snow to melt to move to the Mountain.
It is quite a sight to see Trailer after Trailer come up to join us on the Mountain.  What a feeling, I can hardly describe it. We are so blessed to get to serve here.

Training

We have been training since we arrived here, we are learning so much it is a little over whelming.  We have not received our assignment yet as to where we will be working, that should come at the end of this week.

The Spirit has been so strong, and coming home each night to the Mountain, is an amazing feeling. I hope someday, you all get a chance to come to our Mountain and feel the Spirit of this amazing place.
Here are our instructors and the areas they are training us in"
Some of our kids came to visit and loved our loft

One of our Neighbors, Mama Moose and her baby is below
Funny Story about the Moose and her baby.  Elder LeFevre decided he wanted a closer picture of her, so we went up on top of the hill, right behind the cabins in the Esther camp, He was sneaking around the cabins to take a picture and found the baby moose, he startled her and she jumped up, so of course the Mama moose was not going to let anyone bother her baby, He came running around that cabin as fast as he could. I have never seen him run that fast, I thought he was going to have a heart attack. It was kind of funny , the look on his face was priceless, I wish I would have had the camera to take his picture.

Our Cabin and the amazing missionaries we get to serve with

We had a game night with all the missionaries we will serve with.  We learned some of the Reflection games we will be doing with the youth this summer and it was a chance to get to know some of the 78 Sr. couples we will get to serve with up here. What a great spirit was there, we are so excited to get working.
We also have been getting our cabin in order, and taking rides ( when it is not snowing) to get familiar with the camp.
I can't believe we get to serve here, it will be a lot different from Pohnpei, but I know we will love it.
Gathering for fun, food and games

Just some of the missionaries we will serve with, we could'
