It has been 2 years and 5 months since we returned from our mission in the Micronesian Islands. We loved our 2 years there. Since we have been home, we have battled Cancer, had new learning experiences, loved the time with our family, etc.
All the while we have felt a yearning to return to the mission field. 1 year ago we were ask if we could return to Micronesia, because they could not get Sr. couples to come, we asked my Doctors if they would be o.k. with us leaving the country again, so soon after Cancer and they said NO. I still have 3 1/2 years of treatments, so my Doctors want me close until then. Then if all goes well, they will give the approval for us to leave the country again.
We knew it was time to serve another Mission, but our options were limited, so we started checking into mission assignments right here in Utah, and fell in love with the Heber Valley Camp on the visits we made there.
We applied, and put it in the Lords hands, and we received our Formal call a couple of Months ago. We will be missionaries again, this time at the Heber Valley Camp. We will be serving for 18 months this time, instead of 2 years. Our mission is a Service Mission this time. Last time we worked in MLS ( Member Leader Support) CES( Seminaries and Institutes) Humanitarian, worked with Government Officials to get the Church more recognized, and lots of other stuff. We learned a lot. We know we will learn a lot this time also. We report to our duties on Monday April 11, 2016.
We are so excited. Please join us on our new adventures at the Heber Valley Camp.
